Dr. Kimberley Townsend

Dr. Kimberley Townsend was born in Washington, DC. After high school she was accepted into the Brown University Program in Liberal Medical Education. She received her undergraduate degree in 1989 with BAs in both Economics and Health and Society. She graduated from the Brown University Medical School in 1993. In 1996 she completed her residency training at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She returned to Rhode Island and began practicing at Pediatric Associates in August of 1996. Dr. Townsend is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her medical interests include patient centered care and supporting breastfeeding.

Dr. Townsend is married and has two adult sons. She lives in Lincoln. She enjoys sewing, knitting, reading and cooking.
