Dr Robert T Griffith Jr has been part of Pediatric Associates since 1997. He completed his undergraduate education at Hobart College in 1979 with a BS in Biology summa cum laude with highest honors in Biology. After receiving his MD degree from the University of Rochester in 1983, he came to Rhode Island for Pediatric postgraduate training. He was the Chief Resident in Pediatrics during the 1986-1987 academic year. Dr Griffith was in private practice from 1987-1993 and was employed by Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in Providence (1993-1997) before joining Pediatric Associates in the spring of 1997.

In addition to practicing with Pediatric Associates, he is the Pediatric medical director for Meeting Street Center in Providence, RI and Dartmouth, MA. Meeting Street is a fully inclusive facility for children birth through age 22 with a particular emphasis on serving children with special healthcare needs.

Dr Griffith is Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Brown University Medical School and is the recipient of numerous teaching awards. He has been named as one of the top doctors in Rhode Island by Rhode Island Monthly magazine multiple times.

Dr Griffith is happily married, the proud father of two daughters and grandfather of two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys golf, reading and running. He is an inveterate fan of all Boston’s sports teams!
