• In home glucose testing
• Continuous Glucose Monitoring set up and review

• Follow-up care with onsite A1c monitoring

Type 1 Diabetes Screening

We can meet and discuss various antibody testing options available. If any antibodies are present we will perform routine follow up appointments and can even use continuous glucose monitors to help track glucose levels.

Knowing if a loved one has Type 1 Diabetes antibodies that can develop into Type 1 Diabetes helps give families a little more time to plan ahead. This extra time can be crucial in laying an excellent foundation for Type 1 Diabetes management skills and responsibilities. Education is power.

Emergencies

If your child is ill, vomiting or dehydrated be sure to call the office or answering service (if after office hours) so we can assist in your child’s care. We are always available for emergencies.  

Pediatric Associates is a proud supporter of Camp Surefire, Rhode Island’s only camp for children and teens with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Camp Surefire offers an overnight summer camp, teen spring camp, and pop up events throughout the year to support children and families managing T1D.
